No, I'm not painting the plane, but I am priming the fiberglass parts. This morning I sanded the spinner and shot a coat of rattle can crap on it. The goal here is not to fill the pinholes, and it's not to provide superior UV protection. I know... It's just to get rid of the green. Eventually (like in a year or two before the real paint) I'll shoot a good primer, like UV Smoothprime or whatever, on the fiberglass stuff. In the meantime, I may shoot a quickie coat of silver on the glass parts, or I might just leave this ugly gray on there. Anything but "resin green." (notice all the bugs on the cowl...ugh)

I sanded and primed the empennage fairing as well. The pinholes in these parts aren't as bad as everybody made 'em out to be. I did spend a while sanding, though. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely pinholes. It's just not like there's mesh showing everywhere.

Another shot of the emp fairing.

I'm just procrastinating what I really need to do, which is lay up some extensions on the upper gear leg intersection fairings...tomorrow...it's a long weekend...
